SELECTION POLICY & PROCEDRES
Over the next few weeks we will be trying to identify 4 athletes in each of the following age groups to represent Buckinghamshire in the
​ Regional Schools Combined Events
at MOORWAYS STADIUM, DERBY
on June 27 & 28.
​
JUNIOR (Year 8 & 9) Boys & Girls
INTER (Year 10 & 11) Boys & Girls
SENIOR (Years 12 & 13) Boys & Girls
In addition, four non-travelling reserves will be picked for each team.

Athletes who are interested in being considered for selection must complete the online Combined Events Nomination Form which is now oepn..
​
ATHLETES MUST MAKE THEMSELVESAWAE OF THE CHANGES TO HURDLE SPECIFICATIONS FOR THIS YEAR DUE TO CHANFES IN EA AGE GROUP RULES>

CLOSING DATE for Receipt of applications will be:
FRIDAY 5th JUNE 2026

Athletes must be students attending schools situated in the Education Authority area of Buckinghamshire. Thier school must be affiliated to the Bucks Schools Athletics Association.
​
Applications in support of all athletes must be received by Friday June 5th at the latest. No late applications can be accepted.
​​
Athletes selected for the Regionals will be expected to provide their own transport and if required own accommodation to these meets. Athletes must arrive in good time for their events and to complete their event unless for valid injury or illness reasons.
Applicants must submit valid Power of 10 listed performances for at least the following number of events in each age group
Pentathlon 4 of 5
Heptathlon 5 of 7
Octathlon 6 of 8
Decathlon 7 of 10

For safety Reasons, only applications which include the following events , where relevant, will be considered:
Pole Vault
High Jump
Hurdles
Discus
​
Performances must be recorded since Jan 1st 2026 and only performances eligible for inclusion and published on the Power of 10 will be considered. If a performance is late being included on the Power of 10, verification will be required.
​
Scores in completed CE will carry extra weight provided the athlete is showing current competitive form.
​
Priority will be given as follows to scores received:
Competed scores in actual Combined Event competitions
Calculated scores using current Schools CE Tables for less than full number of events. However these must be submitted for at least the number of events specified above.

Athletes competing in Heptathlon, Octathlon and Decathlon need to to available for both days of the competiton.
