UPDATES FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2026
AGE GROUP CHANGES 2026
VERY IMPORTANT
​
From April 1st, 2026 England Athletics have introduced a new age group structure for the younger athletes in the sport.
U13, U15, & U17 age groupings have become U12, U14, U16 & U18 with knock on changes to weights and specifications.​
​
Because EA will not support funding for Schools Athletics unless the ESAA follow suit, these changes will be implemented by Schools Athletics in 2027,
​
However, in the meantime, there are significant partial changes to events on offer at the County and National Championships.
​
We will be offering the ESAA Champs schedule of events at the Bucks Schools Champs which will have significant impact on the Hurdle events.
